Part 1. Introduction to Agile and Scrum
In this part we will explain ideas behind the Agile manifesto and provide general overview of Scrum framework, discuss the definition and meaning of Scrum team and different roles. Also, we will go through Scrum artefacts and their purpose in software development.
Part 2. Requirements in Scrum
This part gives a clear understanding of what requirements can be used in Scrum and Agile development. We will go through different requirement levels: Vision, Epic, User Story and Task. Practical part with requirements breakdown from idea to User Story’s and task level. How to work with technical debt.
Part 3. Estimation and velocity
In this part we provide the clear understanding of relative estimations and why is it important. We explain task estimation on different level (Epic, User Story, Task). Will learn different scales (T-Shirt, Fibonacci) for different requirement levels.
Part 4. Planning in Scrum
Sprint planning activities are important part of Scrum and should also be done with understanding of the value brought. We look at different levels of planning from Daily to Sprint and to the Release level. Also, we explain how to use metrics for planning: velocity, capacity, focus factor.
Part 5. Sprint monitoring and change management
In order to deliver Sprint successfully team should use proper progress monitoring: daily Stand-up meetings, know how to work with and read Burn down charts. This part explains how to handle changes within the sprint in order to keep the team and stakeholders satisfied.
Part 6. Continuous improvement
Scrum is only a framework and requires continuous adaptation using Kaizen or continuous improvement practices. Here we will cover retrospective meetings, sprint demo and sprint review. Will explain how to handle the results and ensure we really stick to our lessons learned.
